In 2003, top Hungarian DJ Chriss and producer Richie formed The Quasar, bringing together elements of house, tech house, and progressive with live instruments. They didn’t have to wait long to achieve many producers' dream of having their music aired on one of the world's top radio shows: "Together”, The Quasar’s first-ever track, was played by John Digweed on his Kiss 100 radio show, as well as by scores of other top DJs.

Chriss then released a compilation album, "Redirection of Sound," and one of The Quasar's tracks on that CD, "October,” also received airplay by John Digweed on his radio show, along with three remixes of the track, one after another.

2006 saw the release of a mixed compilation of productions and remixes all by The Quasar. From this compilation, Fokused Records licensed "World Beach,” along with remixes from Jamie of Infusion, Tarkan & V-Sag, and Yvel & Tristan. A music video for this track was in the rotation on VIVA and reached #1 on their Club Chart.

In 2007, The Quasar were asked by John Digweed to compile an exclusive half-hour producer mix of their original material, which was aired on the Transitions radio show. Shortly thereafter, they aired another producer mix on Proton Radio.

The Quasar's tracks have been signed to top labels including Toes in the Sand, Fokused Records, Add 2 Basket Records, and Foundation Records, with remixes by Jamie from Infusion, Soda Inc., Subsky, Deep Collective, Tarkan & VSag, Budai & Vic, Yvel & Tristan, and Snake Sedrick.
