Chill.
Progressive. House. Mix those
three genres together, add
a touch of emotion, and you'll
have a pretty good taste of
the style of Danish musician
Riko a.k.a Henrik Schodt.
This flavorful blend is manifested
through Riko's ambition to
share the music that he pushes
to the edge of the genre,
delivering original and classic
tracks to the progressive
scene.
Riko's remarkable first release,
"Tokyo," was released
in June 2006 on Toes in the
Sand, receiving accolades
from top DJs like Andrew K,
DJ Tarkan, Above & Beyond,
Airwave, and Jerry Bonham.
He quickly followed that release
with a blissful remix of Pablo
Roma & Marcelo Vasami's
"Pushing Me Away,"
also on Toes in the Sand.
Henrik also works under the
alias Rique, released the
track "The Returner"
on Oh! Records in May 2006,
showing that his abilities
are not limited to producing
progressive dance music.
Continuing to produce groundbreaking
progressive house, Riko is
one of the most promising
new artists in the progressive
genre and one to watch closely
in years to come.
