 After
years of listening to industrial
bands and being mad at his parents
and the system for no apparent reason,
Naveen G finally found a more creative
outlet for his disturbed mind other
than wearing lots of black T-shirts.
Being inundated with all sorts of
electronic music in college, he
joined up with WNUR 89.3FM and the
Streetbeat team bringing blips and
bleeps to the masses of the Midwestern
USA for years.
After hosting
the only progressive show on the
radio for years, he branched out
into producing his own style of
aural bludgeoning, replacing grinding
guitars with crunchy poorly produced
drums. The result is something
so odd, which no one seems to
want to sign but everyone seems
to love and play.
From house to
breaks to downright obnoxious
repetitive tones, everything has
a bigger-than-Jesus bassline,
for better or for worse. However,
apparently all manner of DJ from
Satoshi Tomiie -- who included
Naveen's "Afterthought"
on his Nubreed CD -- to Sasha,
Digweed, Jon Lisle, and a host
of others have been caught with
these abominations of music in
their record boxes. Or so they
say.
